Culture of Peace Center was established by a group of eminent intellectuals with the primary aim of encouraging the practices of cultural pluralism and to reinforcing multicultural tolerance in Yugoslavia and in the wider area of the Balkans (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia., Austria, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece, F.Y.R.O. Macedonia, Albania). Center fosters projects and actions in the culture of peace and human right principles by disseminating information concerning specific and common tangible and intangible cultural heritage. By establishing regional networks, creating data bases and Internet sites and publishing multilingual editions, Center is contributing to the re-establishment of links between populations on regional and inter regional level in the long-term.
